Sponsorship prize of the Ingrid Weiss / Horst Wiehe Foundation

The German Society for General and Applied Entomology (DGaaE) awards the

Sponsorship prize of the Ingrid Weiss / Horst Wiehe Foundation
(endowed with prize money)

The Ingrid Weiss / Horst Wiehe Foundation Award is granted for an outstanding work on an exclusively entomological topic, whereby only work by young scientists up to the point of habilitation can be considered (see Foundation Statutes [in German]). The application must be a single, self-contained work, e.g. a diploma thesis, a dissertation (also cumulative dissertation) or a publication.

Please make use of your right of proposal and nominate candidates for the award to the president of the DGaaE, PD Dr. Jürgen Gross, by 1 August 2024 Your justified proposal must be accompanied by an original specimen copy of the thesis and the electronic version of the thesis and additional application documents. Self-applications are possible. Please send all documents to the office of the DGaaE, Senckenberg German Entomological Institute, Eberswalder Straße 90, 15374 Müncheberg.

The winner of the award will report on the excellent work in a lecture during the Entomology Conference 2025.

The composition of the board of trustees can be found on the page "Curatorships of the DGaaE".
