Insect Conference

The Insect Conferences take place in even years at changing locations. This conference format has been in existence since 2016 and these workshops are held in cooperation with the German Phytomedical Society (DPG) on a current entomological topic that affects the statutory objectives of both societies. There will be impulse presentations and much room for discussion. The conference language is German. The results of a workshop will be published in the form of a white paper in the news magazine of the society as well as in "Phytomedizin", the news magazine of the DPG.

The first Insect Conference took place from November 24 to 25, 2016, on the topic "Insect Diversity in the City – Correctly Planning and Maintaining City Greenery" at the Julius Kühn Institute in Braunschweig.

The second insect conference was held on August 10, 2018 on the topic of "Changes in biodiversity, monitoring and measures for the protection of insects" at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart.
