Study Group Neuroptera

The study group Neuroptera sees itself as a forum for all neuropterologists, leisure researchers and professional entomologists, in the German-speaking area. Every 2 years (exceptionally annually) SG conferences are held at the conference centre Schloss Schwanberg near Iphofen. Apart from the exchange of information, the most important aim of the working group conferences is to establish contact between entomologists interested in neuropterology and full-time neuropterologists.

In addition, an attempt is made to integrate recreational entomologists interested in local fauna. The working group maintains an address list of German-speaking neuropterologists and is compiling a bibliography on Neuropterida. In addition, identification aids are offered or provided. The working group aims to promote Neuropterida as a target group for entomological research.
