Dear colleagues,
we cordially invite you to participate in the upcoming Entomology
Congress 2011 in Berlin. The conference will take place in the main
building of the Humboldt University in the historic center of Berlin, on
March 21–24, 2011.
The scope of the congress is to bring together scientists working on
all aspects of entomology and anyone interested in insects to discuss
and debate topics of common interest, novel methodological approaches as
well as strategies to meet the challenges of the future. The event is
organised by the German Society for General and Applied Entomology
(DGaaE) but has grown over the years into an international conference.
Congress languages are English and German. Out of courtesy to our
non-German-speaking colleagues contributions in English are encouraged.
The city and surroundings of Berlin have a rich tradition in
entomological research. Notably the Museum für Naturkunde together with
its audio archive, the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, the Freie
Universität Berlin, the Senckenberg Deutsches Entomologisches Institut,
the Julius-Kühn-Institut, the Länderinstitut für Bienenkunde Hohen
Neuendorf e.V., as well as the Entomologische Gesellschaft Orion and the
Fachgruppe Entomologie of NABU. And of course, the city of Berlin is
always a great experience!
We look forward to welcoming many colleagues from diverse fields of entomological research in Berlin!
